SpriCAD® for AutoCAD or BricsCAD

With SpriCAD®, as an alternative to WinSprink, the input of the pipe network geometry can be done with the CAD system AutoCAD or BricsCAD.

System requirements:

Windows 10 or 11 operating system

AutoCAD: Version 2018 – 2024 (64bit)/ no AutoCAD LT
BricsCAD: Version 2021 – 2024 Pro or higher (64bit)

The input of piping for calculation is done directly in AutoCAD/ BricsCAD in a 3D isometry using SpriCAD® tools with intelligent lines.

The isometry can even be drawn directly into a 3D architectural model that has been referenced.

Pipes get the following properties:

  • DN value
  • C-value
  • Length
  • Additional length
  • Pipe type
  • Numbering
  • Fittings

Other important basics for hydraulic calculation are given at the sprinkler symbols or possible installation parts.

Sprinkler characteristics:

  • K-factor
  • DN value at connection
  • Discharge density
  • Protection area
  • Spray radius
  • Minimum pressure at the sprinkler
  • Number of the design area

For installations, a suitable symbol can be set and its equivalent length can be stored.

Three standard tables (VdS and FM) are included in the program. User-specific tables can be added.

Any number of operation areas can be entered, calculated and saved.

An extensive list of pump curves from well-known manufacturers is included.

All information contained in the drawing model is then transferred by transfer files to our calculation kernel (SpriCalc) and will be processed.

The accuracy required by VdS/ FM / NFPA/ DIN EN 12845, as well as the form of the calculation printout are met by SpriCalc.

For the revision of the sprinkler network different filters are available for:

  • Water flow
  • Flow velocity
  • Pressure loss in pipes
SpriCAD® for AutoCAD and BricsCAD:
  • 3D-Single line method with SpriCAD®-Tools
  • Isometric display incl. pipe and node numbers
  • Visual result display for flow rate, flow velocity and pressure loss
  • Automatic distribution of sprinklers in a room
  • Creation of part list
  • Floor management
  • Standard: Hazen-Williams formula
  • As a chargeable additional option, it is also possible to calculate the pressure loss according to the Darcy-Weisbach formula instead of the Hazen-Williams formula (e.g. for foam systems).
