- (F): Very rarely, but occasionally, dialogs would briefly flash and disappear. The problem still exists, but the command can be executed again. Previously, Revit had to be restarted.
- (N): If, for example, after a valve there is a sub-network created with a system type that is not part of the project, an error message occurred because elements were not assigned to a pipe. This has been improved; these elements are now also assigned to a pipe until the system type changes.

Version 5.05
Release Date: 12.12.2023
General
- (N): There is now only one installation program for German, English, and French, which contains all program packages.
- WinSprink
- AutoCAD
- BricsCAD
- Revit
- External CAD interface
- (N): Therefore, there is now only one installation directory (SpriCalc). The WinSprink program is no longer installed in its own directory. Existing files are retained during an update.
- New equivalent length tables are stored in the directory C:\Program Data\IDAT GmbH\SpriCalc\505 or C:\Users\#USERNAME#\AppData\Local\IDAT GmbH\SpriCalc\505.
- (F): If a Lechler nozzle was used for the most unfavorable sprinkler, the pressure output at the sprinkler on the title block was incorrect. The value in the table, however, was correct (#32871).
SpriVor
- (N): When exiting the program, the list of equivalent length tables and pump characteristic curves are automatically updated.
SpriCAD General
- (F): For pipes without fittings, it was not checked whether the DN value was present in the selected equivalent length table. This led to a calculation error as the pipe diameter was set to 0.0. This query has been corrected (T-9675).

- (F): Formteile direkt am Sprinkler (ohne Rohr dazwischen) werden bei der Anzahl der Formstücke bzw. Sonderlängen nicht berücksichtig. (#32530)
- (F): There were problems if a valve had multiple branches without sprinklers. For example, if after the valve a pipe ended at a cap without a sprinkler present. This pipe was marked as a dead end (#32497).
- (N): In the list of families, you can display the family of an element that you previously marked in the drawing (#32468).
SpriCAD for AutoCAD/BricsCAD
- (V): SpriCAD now issues a warning if the equivalent length table referenced in the drawing is not present (#32553).
- (F): We fixed a problem where, under certain circumstances, when importing a drawing from Version 4, sprinklers were incorrectly given a sprinkler supply line (#32604).
- (V): Improvements in automatic pipe numbering (#32672).
SpriCAD for Ext. CAD
- (F): The Sprink.dat file was saved in UTF-8 format, which led to problems with umlauts. Umlauts are now correctly transferred (#32545).
WinSprink / SpriCalc
- (N): Below the table, a legend is now output explaining the abbreviations of the fittings (B=Bend, W=Angle, …).
- (V): The output for the most unfavorable sprinkler has been changed. Now pipe, sprinkler, and node number are output. E.g.: R17-4 / S2 / 117 (#32661).
Version 5.03
Release Date: 11.07.2023
General
- (F): There were problems with the installation if a user’s name began with the letter “N”. This error has been fixed.
SpriCAD for AutoCAD / BricsCAD

- (V): Project data is now only one dialog – pump approval limit is automatically entered according to the pump characteristic curve table.
- (V): Symbols can be provided with remarks.
- (V): The sprinkler supply line can be deleted directly with a delete button in the sprinkler dialog.
- (V): Pipe dimensions can be selected as a dropdown list according to the equivalent length table before input – free input is no longer possible.
- (V): For result display “Pressure Loss”, “Water Flow Rate” or “Velocity”, the corresponding values are written as text directly to the pipes, so that you also have an overview of the results in the model.
- (V): Covering an area with sprinklers has been improved.
- (V): The calculation window remains open and changes can be made in the project simultaneously.
- (V): Input hints for Darcy-Weisbach method.
- (N): Floor management: Projects with multiple floors can be assigned to floors. These can be visually hidden from each other as needed to ensure clarity, also in views.
- (N): Flow directions are displayed as arrows in the model – can be hidden via a separate “Flow Direction” layer.
- (N): Flow time calculation possible from a specific valve.
- (N): Self-entered fittings on pipes are visually displayed via their own “Fittings” layer – collision check during calculation for inconsistencies with self-defined fittings.
- (N): Scale settings possible via annotation scale in properties under the “Miscellaneous” category for fonts and symbols, in BricsCAD “Mixed”, also in viewports.
- (N): There is a choice between custom numbers for pipes or automatic numbering.
- (N): Project data can also be edited in the properties window.
- (N): The menu bar has been extended.
- (N): Type selection for objects is now more convenient. After pre-selecting all objects in the properties, it is possible to distinguish by types, e.g., main pipe or sprinkler etc. “sselect” function.
- (N): Objects that should not be included in the calculation can be excluded from the calculation -> Properties – General.
- (N): Texts can be moved, rotated, scaled, and provided with a reference line.

Version 4.33
Release Date: 30.01.2023
General
- (F): If a new pump characteristic curve was entered or copied, not all data was transferred.
Version 4.32
Release Date: 19.12.2022
General
- (F): There were a few problems with the update.
SpriCAD for Revit
- (F): If one or more links in Revit were not correct for a cross fitting, it led to a crash.
- (F): When the error dialog was opened, no element could be displayed if another dialog was opened or another action was started in the meantime.
- (F): It could happen that in some cases the list of selected system types was lost.
- (F): In version 4.31, the name of the parameter for the equivalent length was lost in the family settings dialog.
- (F): A few problems in the project management dialog have been fixed.
Version 4.31
Release Date: 22.11.2022
WinSprink:
- (F): In rare cases, an incorrect most unfavorable sprinkler may be displayed. If the operating point is determined as the initial pressure during network calculation, it is possible that a different sprinkler is determined as the most unfavorable due to small deviations. This will then be shown on the report. Flow rate and pressure are correct, however.
CAD General
- (F): If an additional length was entered for a pipe with an accuracy of 1 mm (e.g., 4.333 m), a special component was mistakenly included in the installation list. This is avoided if the special length is entered rounded to 1 cm (e.g., 4.330 m).
SpriCAD for AutoCAD / BricsCAD
- (N): Sprinkler numbers can now only be entered in the range of 1 to 9,999.
- (N): The area of influence number can now take values between 1 and 99,999.
SpriCAD for BricsCAD
- (N): Version 2023 is now supported. Version 2017 is no longer supported.
- (F): A problem where the sprinkler K-factor was not displayed correctly in the dialog under BricsCAD 2022 has been fixed.
SpriCAD for Revit
- (N): In the project data dialog, pump characteristic curves are now divided into groups, analogous to the dialog in WinSprink or the program for pre-settings.
- (N): If a different scale than the calculated one is entered for the pump characteristic curve graphic, this is saved together with the number of the selected pump in the Revit project.
- (N): When changing the language (German/English), you do not need to translate the shared parameters. This saves time in very large projects.
- (N): If you change the list of system types, the list of families is automatically adjusted.
Version 4.30
Release Date: (15.07.2022)
SpriCAD for Revit

SpriCAD for AutoCAD/BricsCAD
- (F): A problem where the flow direction might not have been displayed correctly has been fixed.
- (F): When changing the drawing scale, valves and fittings are scaled correctly.
SpriCAD for Revit
- (N): To determine the diameter of a pipe, there are now 2 options:
- As before, use the nominal diameter of the pipe, from which the inner diameter is determined from the equivalent length table.
- Search for the entry in the equivalent length table directly using the inner diameter of the pipe. The pipe receives its own (fictional) DN value to determine the correct inner diameter.
- (N): Some dialogs have been improved in terms of usability.
